About Me, Ryan Moore

I was a PhD graduate student at the Computer Science Department at the University of Pittsburgh. In the fall of 2013, I successfully defended my PhD thesis and I'm now working at IBM's Watson group.

Before coming here, I received my computer science bachelor's degree from Westminster College. I was the co-chair of the Communications Committee for the School of Arts and Sciences Graduate Student Organization. I'm also involved in other activities. Previously I led a computer architecture and systems reading group.

What did I do with my Graduate Education?

I spent a good deal of time multitasking between teaching courses and doing research.

My advisor was Dr. Bruce R. Childers.

My prevailing interest is in computer architecture and systems and virtual execution environments, with a side interest in dynamic binary translation. I also seem to end up developing various web-site related software. I also have a passing interest in computer graphics and visualization.
